Engagement and Marriage Seminar at Harvest Church

Harvest Church is hosting an Engagement and Marriage Seminar this Friday and Saturday, February 19th and 20th.  Seminar times will be from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday evening and 9:30 - noon on Saturday morning.  There is a great deal of planning and preparing for a wedding, but have you planned and prepared for your marriage?  Whether you are engaged to be married, newly married, or have celebrated many wedding anniversaries, this seminar is for you.  There will be great door prizes given away at this event!

Run for the Murals "Go Wild" 5K

Image result for 5k race imagesAs part of this year's Mural City ArtWalk event, there will be a Run for the Murals 5K race on Saturday, March 5th.  The race will begin at 9:00 AM at Poplar Head Park in downtown Dothan.  Race registration will begin an hour prior to the start.  Entry fee is $20 and includes a T-shirt.  You can link to the race application here: Run for the Murals 5K Application.  You will need to complete and mail your application by February 24th to guarantee your T-shirt size.  There will also be a packet pick-up and pre-race welcome reception on Friday, March 4th at The Nature Gallery. The reception is from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

8th Annual JonJam Coming In March

The JonJam Benefit returns for it's 8th year and this edition promises to be an even bigger event, packed full of fun filled activities.  Each year The Jon Lee Foundation presents JonJam to benefit The REAL Project and AMBUCS of the Wiregrass to help improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities.

This year's event will be on Saturday, March 12th.  Gates at the National Peanut Festival Amphitheater will open at noon, but activities will get started even earlier.  This year, Dothan Area Cycling is hosting a Bike Fest.  Your JonJam ticket is your entry and the ride will begin at 9:00 am. There will also be inflatables and games for the kids.  Then, always a favorite, the chili cook off tasting begins at 2:00.  And, don't forget, bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the four different bands playing from 2:00 - 9:00.  To get a schedule of all events, check in at JonJam.com or find them on Facebook.

"Mercy Me" is Coming to Dothan!

The very popular, Contemporary Christian Band, Mercy Me is coming to Dothan on Saturday, April  23rd.  The concert is being presented by The JOY FM, 94.3 and will also include the artists, Citizen Way and Zealand Worship.

Mercy Me started in 1994 and later burst onto the music scene in 2002 with their #1 hit and Song of the Year, "I Can Only Imagine".  Since then, they have added another six #1 hits on the Billboard Christian Songs charts and have won eight Dove Awards.  Another of those #1 hits, "Word of God Speak", went on to become the #1 Song of the Decade (2000 - 2009).

Auditions for SEACT's Presentation of "Hairspray"

SEACT begins auditions for "Hairspray" on Sunday, January 3rd, Monday, January 4th and Tuesday, January 5th.  Sunday's session will run from 2:00 - 5:00 while Monday and Tuesday's sessions will be from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.  For those interested, you can attend a preview session today, January 2nd and get more information on the available roles.

Music South presents - Hotel California - A Salute to the Eagles

The Music South Fall Concert Series gets underway on Tuesday, October 27th featuring one of the most sought-after tribute bands in the country.  Come be a part of, "Hotel California - A Salute to the Eagles."

This talented group of musicians will bring The Eagles mega-hits to the Dothan Civic Center.  This highly acclaimed presentation has Eagles fans turning out across the country to enjoy the sounds of a band that defined a generation of music lovers.

Holiday of Hope



Covenant Hospice is presenting their
11th Annual Holiday of Hope Marketplace at the Dothan Civic Center.

The event will kick off with the Moonlight & Mistletoe Preview Party on Thursday, October 22, 2015 and shopping days will be Friday, October 23rd & Saturday, October 24th.
This shopping extravaganza includes vendors from across the tri-state area bringing fine gifts, unique specialty items and boutique treasures.
