Tickets are now on sale for the March SEACT production of Les Misérables. The performance will run March 9 -15 at The Dothan Opera House. In its 40th Anniversary year, SEACT marks the occasion with this challenging production, filled with local talent on stage, back stage, and in the orchestra pit. Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The modern classic is based on Victor Hugo’s novel, and features one of the most memorable scores of all time.

DHC Library Event: Introduction to Essential Oils
Join friends at the Westgate branch of the Dothan Houston County Library on Tuesday, February 17th for an introduction into essential oils. Plants have a built in defense system that fight off bacteria and viruses. Essential oils are taken from these plants and used to help humans and animals defend against germs and other invaders naturally. This class will discuss what essential oils are, how they work, and how to apply them to your daily life. The class will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 PM and will be taught by Sarah Brown.
Folk & Outdoor Workshop Weekend
Landmark Park is bringing back their workshop weekend on February 21st and 22nd. The workshop is dedicated to introducing participants to a variety of folk crafts and skills, as well as outdoor hobbies and activities. The weekend will include two sessions; one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Basketball Sub-Regional Games This Tuesday, Feb 10th
Local high school basketball teams continue post season play this Tuesday, February 10th as they compete in sub-regional play. Dothan High School's boys and girls teams will both face Blount High School, out of Mobile. As winners of the area tournament, Dothan will host both games at Davis Gym. The ladies will get underway at 6:00 PM with the men to follow at approximately 7:30.

Troy University Softball This Weekend
Have you been anxiously awaiting spring sports? Well, they're here, beginning tonight in Troy. Troy University is hosting the Chick-Fil-A Invitational this weekend. Troy will host five teams this weekend. Alabama State, Western Kentucky, Buffalo, North Florida and Florida A&M.

Astronomy Night at Landmark Park
Astronomy Night returns to Landmark Park on Friday, February 13th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. The event will be held on the Gazebo Lawn. There will be experts in the field of astronomy there to guide you in finding February constellations and planets. In addition, there will be hayrides, campfires, snacks and a planetarium program. The cost is only $2 for members, $3 for scouts and their leaders in uniform and $5 for non-members. Throw on a warm sweatshirt, bring a blanket and come out and enjoy a night outside under the stars.
