The
Tri-State BBQ Festival is back this year with even more events, music, vendors and yes, BBQ! Things get under way today at 4:45 with the ribbon cutting at the main gate and then it's off to a packed fun-filled weekend. One distinction this year is that the TV show,
BBQ Pit Wars, will be at the festival filming for an upcoming episode.
BBQ Pit Wars is a food competition show between four nationally know teams of cooks. It also gives the local teams a chance to compete against these masters of the grill. The festival will go until 10:00 tonight and then start up again tomorrow from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM at the Farm Center Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10.00 per day, and children under 6 are free. For all the information on the schedule of events, check out their website at
Tri-State BBQ. Come out and sample, shop, sip and celebrate a good time with friends.
