Bluebird & Hummingbird Workshops at Landmark Park



Landmark Park begins preparations for Spring with two workshops for bird lovers.
  • Saturday, January 24th, Dr. Gary Manfready will conduct the Bluebird Workshop.
  • Saturday, January 31st, Fred Basset, licensed hummingbird bander, will conduct the Hummingbird Workshop.

Dr. Manfready is a professor at Troy and a member of the North American Bluebird Society. He will provide information on recent findings on bluebird populations and their habitat. Basset is a member of the Hummer/Bird Study group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and preservation of hummingbirds and neotropical migrants. He will share facts about the nesting habits, diet, feeder maintenance and migration patterns of hummingbirds.

Both workshops begin at 10 a.m. and are held in the Interpretive Center Auditorium. The programs are free with paid gate admission. Regular park admission is $4 for adults, $3 for kids and free for members. Registration is required. Please call Landmark Park to register.
